Kálida Sant Pau Centre was awarded with the 2022 FAD medal “for its commitment to design as a tool, to improve the well-being of people with cancer, whether they are patients, caregivers, family members or friends. For highlighting the importance of the environment in the care process and taking on the challenge of humanizing spaces through design. An acknowledgement for making design a structural part of a care model based on the concept of “architecture to care”.
On April 19th, Germán Castejón (President of Fundació Kálida) and Benedetta Tagliabue attended the ceremony and received the award by the hand of the presided of the FAD.
The Kálida Sant Pau Centre was inaugurated in 2019, as part of the Maggie’s Centre Network, which aim continues nowadays as a protective space, configured in a warm, friendly and domestic way.
